existing wired television licence should be extended

for the period between its expiry on 30 April 1973

and the date when the second wireless television

licensee commences broadcasting. The Hong Kong

Government announced its decisions on the future of

television in Hong Kong on 18 April (press handout

attached).

proposals was put before Exco (attached as annexe to
