The proposal to terminate the Commission has been agreed with the Ministry of Defence and has now received Ministerial approval within the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. We are in the process of submitting advice

to Her Majesty The Queen and once Her Majesty has signified her approval we shall let you know. I hope that we shall

be able to do this very soon.
