which a new EDF will almost certainly be set up and we

shall be major contributors. The size of our contribution

will depend inter alia on the number of Commonwealth

states who in the event opt for the Yaounde' form of

association and on the need to have an equal say with

France and Germany in regard to EDF matters. Moreover,

we shall also have to bear in mind the need to be in a

position to exert sufficient influence on decisions on the

future shape and direction of the Community's total aid

effort.
