SECRETARY OF STATE'S PROGRAMME DURING HIS VISIT TO
HONG KONG
I visited one of Hong Kong's modern textile
factories in the Colony's complex industrial area.
2. I toured one of the Hong Kong Government's low-
cost housing estates and met and talked to some of
the residents there.
3. And I saw one of the Colony's oldest and most
congested resettlement estates and was shown the
plans for its conversion and modernisation.
MATTERS DISCUSSED WITH THE GOVERNOR AND HIS ADVISERS
4. Amongst the subjects covered by these discussions
were the import of textiles into this country, air
education
traffic rights, technical assistance and a number
