You will wish to see the attached copy of a minute from Mr McLaren to the Secretary of State and the Secretary of State's note that he would like detailed briefing "on all these questions before I go".

2. Paragraph 2 directly concerns Commodities Department and I should be grateful if you could take this into account when amending the brief which you have already prepared. There is also the point in paragraph 3 On our entry into the Common Market they want an enlargement of their textile quota".
