VISIT OF THE SECRETARY OF STATE TO HONG KONG

You will see from the attached minute from Mr McLaren to the Secretary of State that the Secretary of State would like "detailed briefing on all these questions before I go".

2. I have already asked Commodities Department if they would be good enough to deal with paragraph 2 and the sentence in paragraph 3 dealing with our entry into the Common Market and the question of the enlargement of the textile quota.

3. Paragraph 3 is our concern. We had better have a word about the additional briefs we shall have to prepare.
