co-ordination of opinion. If I were chosen, I would feel inclined to set up a "Legislative Advisory Committee' which could examine Bills and make useful suggestions. This would be similar in nature to the Legal Committee of the H.K. General Chamber of Commerce (of which I an Chairman. I would of course resign from that Committee if selected by the J.P. '8).
Finally, I can understand that the Unoffkials on your Executive Council may be lukewarm about my candidature for the J.P. sest. This would not be a reflection upon the moderation of my views, but it cannot be forgotten that in 1968 I ran against the candidate the Umelco had agreed to support, and managed to secure 42% of the votes cast.
