present task of revolution is to combat imperialism and feudalism, declares action programme of arabian gulf liberation fighters

aden, august 21 Chsinhua) the present task of revolution of the people in the arabian gulf area is to oppose imperialism and feudalism, says a national democratic programme for action adopted at the third congress of the people's front for the liberation of the occupied arabian gulf held recently in rakhyout.

the programme describes the targets of the revolution, "according to our knowledge of the character of society in the arabian gulf, a colonial, semi-colonial and semi- feudal society, we believe that at this stage, the enemies of the people and the revolution are the imperialists, feudalists, other Lackeys and traitors." it continues, "as the comprador bourgeoisie colludes with the imperialist and feudal forces and carries out a dictatorship and oppression against the people, it also belongs to the category of enemies of the people and the revolution."

referring to the motive forces of the revolution, the programme points out, "the working class and the broad masses of poor peasants constitute 80 per cent, of the population. they suffer most deeply from suppression by imperialism, feudalism and comprador class." the working class and the peasant class are the chief force and constitute the main body of the revolution. the petty bourgeoisie in the cities and countryside also suffer under imperialists, feudalists and comprador class, who are the enemies of the revolution. the majority of the petty bourgeoisie are the chief allies of the revolution, the working class and the peasant class.

the programme declares that to defeat the enemies of the majority of the people throughout the arabian gulf, it is necessary to arouse the masses to oppose imperialism and its reactionary allies. "apart from the feudal lords, compradors and other betrayers, all other classes with common interests in the struggle against the common enemies should unite in a comprehensive united front, a militant alliance front of all patriotic classes and strata of the people.

in reference to the forms of revolutionary struggle, the programme points out: "the revolution in the arabian gulf must be an armed revolution, which will crush the counter- revolutionary violent force of imperialism by revolutionary violent force. we can never seize political power and safeguard the revolution without this violent force and without smashing the enemy's army and suppressive institutions.

TUESDAY, AUGUST 24. 1971

the programme declares: "the suppressive instruments possessed by the enemy are certainly superior to those possessed by the backward, oppressed and unarmed people, but their superiority is temporary, we will gradually weaken and cause it to crumble through the efforts of the revolution and by persistence in protracted struggle.

protracted people's war will make the enemy change from being temporarily strong to becoming weak and we will change from being temporarily weak to becoming stronger than ever before.'

the programme adds: "armed struggle is the principal and strategic characteristic form of the struggle. to use force does not mean that we should abandon other forms of struggle."

the programme declares that imperialism and its allies concentrate their forces and activities in the cities, it is simply logical that the revolution should concentrate its force on the countyside and transform the countryside into strong bases and broad revolutionary fields. however, this does not mean that we should ignore the role of the cities to the revolution.

referring to the character of the present stage of the revolution in the arabian gulf, the programme states: "because the enemies of the revolution are the imperialists, feudalists and the comprador bourgeois class, therefore, the revolution should be firstly a national revolution for the liquidation of imperialism and the realization of independence; secondly, the revolution should be a thorough-going democratic revolution for the liquidation of the allies of the imperialist: clan system, the feudal bosses and compradors. that is to say the present revolution in the arabian gulf is a national democratic revolution.

the programme adds: *if the task of the democratic revolution is not fulfilled well, the victory of the national revolution can not be gained. the tasks of the two revolutions are closely linked." end item
