I have had a report from Hong Kong that the

Colony was not directly affected by this typhoon

which ja ssed to the north-east of the territory. There

was very heavy rain and a high wind which caused

minor damage with some flooding. There were some minor

casualties, but, fortunately, no fatalities. No

request for aid has been received from the Governor.
