The attached Parliamentary Question by Mr
Ben Ford about typhoon Lucy has been put down for
written answer of 28 July.
2. The proposed reply is based upon information
received in Hong Kong Telegrams Nos. 504 & 511
(copies attached). You will see that the Governor
has refused our offer of aid, and is puzzled by the
interest shown by us and Mr Ford in to him, a
very minor affair.
3. There have been no previous PQs relating to
this subject, in the past two years.
