1 I attach two copies of a note on the meeting with TUC representatives on 5 January.

2. It is suggested that a copy could appropriately be transmitted to the Hong Kong Government for its information, though it would be interesting and valuable to see if any comments were forthcoming on the points discussed.

3. I have also sent a copy of the note to Mr Eaton, Mr Goodwin and Mr Allen, the Registrar of Trade Unions in Hong Kong, who was at the meeting.
