(ii)
The information operation in Nepal was inspected
last year, when a number of economies were made,
and responsibility for the reading rooms at
Kathmandu, Pokhara and Dharan transferred to
British Council.
Although an extremely small
organisation, it has always been noteworthy for
the intelligent use of its modest resources.
The Grade 5 officer is on a contract which
expires next year, and is a specialist in
Nepalese affairs.
Future Developments
There are no future developments which are
likely to affect information activity or
expenditure.
