The costs of attendance of DS officers at bi-lateral meetings at official level and at other minor meetings are charged to the DS Vote except for meetings of the European Economic Committee (see para 2.a. and b.). Doubtful cases which may be included in your forecasts will be considered in consultation with Personnel Services Department, and you will be informed of those cases which will be chargeable to the DS Vote.

details of the items in your forecast of last year which were accepted as appropriate to the Special Missions and Services subhead (only to Departments which submitted forecasts).
details, as known to date, of unforeseen events in 1971/72 which have been accepted for this subhead subsequently to your forecast.
Annex C information about likely events in 1972/73 which has been
received from various sources. These events should be included in your forecast as applicable.
5. Preparation of Forecasts
It is important that all possible events which are likely to require expenditure from the Special Missions and services subhead are included in your forecast, so that realistic financial provision may be made. To assist in the preparation of an accurate estimate you are requested to complete the form at Annex D for each overseas event and the form at Annex E for each event in the UK. Details of items for which the forms are not appropriate should be shown in a separate note.
