8. The Acting Governor does not explain why Mr Tsui is

relinquishing his post as Commisɛioner for Resettlement at the

end of this month (he may be going on leave). His successor

is not taking over from him until 4 September and he himself

will not take over from Mr Hetherington as Commissioner of

Labour until August/September.

RECOMMENDATION

3.

I can see no reason to disagree with the Acting Governor's

proposals and recommend that they be accepted. A draft

telegram is attached.
