ACTING GOVERNOR

In exercise of the powers conferred by Clause III of

the Hong Kong Royal Instructions 1917 - 1971, I appoint

HERBERT JOHN CHARLES BROWNE

Justice of the Peace, provisionally and subject to Her Majesty's

pleasure, to be temporarily an Unofficial Member of the Executive

Council of Hong Kong during the absence from the Colony of

Sir Alberto María Rodrigues, Commander of the Most Excellent

Order of the British Empire, upon whom has been conferred the

Efficiency Decoration, Justice of the Peace.

GIVEN under my hand and the Public Seal of the

Colony on 7th June 1971.
