Ray Pe
Mr Rippon, the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster,
will visit Australia and New Zealand from 10 to 22
September. He will be mainly concerned with questions
arising from our application to join the EEC.
2. Mr Ian Gilmour, MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary
of State, Ministry of Defence (Army) is visiting service
units in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Malaysia from 7 to
19 September.
3. Peter Kirk, MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of
State, Ministry of Defence (Navy) plans to visit Bahrain,
Malaysia and Singapore between 25 September and 9 October.
These are different dates from those reported in my.
submission of 18 July. The dates have been changed so that
his visit will not clash with other visits to the services
in Far East Command planned for September.
4. The Rt Hon Joseph Godber, MP, Minister of State. for
Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, will be visiting Canberra
from 29 September to 7 October as Head of the UK Delegation
to the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association Conference.
