hundred thousand dollars and to imprisonment

for ten years; and

on summary conviction, to a fine of one hundred

thousand dollars and to imprisonment for three

years,

unless he proves that he did not know or had no reason to

suspect that such person was attempting to commit that offence.

Assisting illegal

33.

subsection (1) of section 31 by landing in Hong Kong without

the permission of an immigration officer, any other person who,

knowing or believing him to have committed that offence, does

without lawful authority or reasonable excuse any act with

intent to impede his apprehension or prosecution shall be

guilty of an offence and shall be liable

Where a person has committed an offence under

(a) on conviction on indictment, to imprisonment for

seven years; and

(b)

on summary conviction, to imprisonment for three

years.

Prohibition of landing except at approved place.

34.

(1) Any person who lands in Hong Kong elsewhere

than at an approved landing place shall be guilty of an offence

and shall be liable on conviction to a fine of five thousand

dollars and to imprisonment for twelve months.

(2) If any person commits an offence under subsection (1)

by landing from a ship or aircraft elsewhere than at an

approved landing place -
