HKK 14/38
Hong Kong Department,
28 August, 1970.
With reference to our telephone conversation today about crime statistics, I enclose a table giving a breakdown of the figures for various crines committed in Hong Kong over the years 1966 to 1970.
Mr. Royle, our Parliamentary Under-Secretary, has asked to see figures for crime in other cities of a similar size. (Hong Kong has a population of 4 million). He has suggested Birmingham.
I should be most grateful for any assistance you can give us in providing the figures required.
