may not necessarily have this information. Moreover, under this clause it
will no longer be an offence for the person under investigation to refuse
to give information when requested, but, although his refusal will not bo
an offence it can be made the subject of comment in any subsequent prosecution
brought against him. This is provided in clause 20 which is a new clauso.
Clause 15, which deals with logal advisors and privileged information,
has been amended to give more protection against the disclosure by a legal
advisor of privileged information which comes to him from a client.
Clause 28, which is now, empowers the Supreme Court and District
Court on the acquittal of an accused, to aard costs not exceeding $10,000,
which will bo a charge on the general revenue.
A list of public bodies, the employees of which come within the
term "public sorvant", has been set out in a schedule to the Bill. The
list includes utility companies, ferry companies, broadcast and television
stations, the Hong Kong Housing Authority, the Hong Kong Housing Society
and the Hong Kong Settlers Housing Corporation, Ltd.
