c. Parallel UK and ANZ structures should only be

considered if an integrated ANZUK structure proves to be unattainable. The organisation for this will be studied separately (4).

d. If HMG decides to retain a battalion in Brunei after

May 1971 the Brunei Garrison should come under the command

of CBF Hong Kong on 1 April 1971.

e. To give substance to the five power defence

arrangements it will be necessary to develop the present Advisory Working Groups into five power consultative committees, covering the major areas

of common interest.
