Export Corporation and the Lighting Industry Federation).

Even Macao is beginning to share this prosperity although

this is largely confined to the tourist industry. One of the

biggest hotel complexes in the Far East is now at last nearing

completion. An order for a bridge to link Macao with Taipa

Island has been placed with a local Chinese firm and the

Macao Electric Company, recently infused with fresh life by

the addition of several new directors, is buying new

generating plant to cope with increased demands.
