Description
Undergarments, knitted or crocheted, not elastic or rubberised, wholly or mainly of cotton, women's and girls' wear.
Undergarments (other than briefs, drawers, panties, undershorts and the like, and panty hoses and tights), knitted or crocheted, not elastic or rubberised, wholly or mainly of continuous synthetic or artificial fibres, men's and boys' and women's and girls' wear.
The principal purpose of this system would be to provide the Government of Sweden with advance information on the development of trade in these groups.

I should explain that under the Export Authorisation system no export licence for these items will be issued unless an Export Authorisation has previously been obtained in respect of the consignment concerned. Export Authorisations are issued only on production of evidence of a firm contract for the supply of the goods in respect of which the applicant seeks such Authorisation.

As you will have noted from the specimen Export Authorisation forms, application for an Export Licence for the particular goods in respect of which an Export Authorisation is issued must be made before the expiry of the Export Authorisation.

Export Authorisations will Export Licences are valid
for only twenty eight days. The actual goods must therefore be exported within four months from the issue of the Export Authorisation. The Hong Kong Government will forward via the Consul-General of Sweden fortnightly returns to the Swedish Government showing by group, the quantities covered by Export Authorisations issued to Hong Kong exporters.

The Hong Kong Government will, on request by the Swedish Government at any time, discontinue the issue of Export Authorisations for any of the items concerned. If such request is accompanied by a request for consultations in accordance with the provisions of Article 3 of the Cotton Textiles Arrangement, and/or under the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade, the Hong Kong Government will, pending the holding of such consultations, issue Export Licences for the items concerned only in respect of those shipments covered by Export Authorisations already issued.
