NOTES:

1. The Governor said that he would like to give further thought

to the possibility that the conduct of Hong Kong's commercial

affairs in GATT might be excluded from the application of the

document (as was Hong Kong/UK trade).

2. The possibility was briefly considered whether this paragraph

might not have to be varied or expanded to formalise the channels

of communication between the Hong Kong Government, HMG and their

respective representatives in the GATT.
