The establishment of foreign companies in Hong Kong is governed by the provisions of the Hong Kong Com anies Ordinance (Chanter 32 of the laws of dong Kong).
2. Cart XI of this Ordinance lays down that to establish a place of business in Hong Kong, a foreig company must submit for registration a certified co y of the Charter, Statutes or emorandum and rticles of ssociation, or other instrument constituting or defining the constitution of the compa and, if the instrument is not in the English language, a certified translation thereof; a list of irectors of the company; the name and oddress of one or more ersons resident in th Colony nuthorised to accept service of notice, etc. on boh lf of the company. In addition, every foreign company must register eny alterations in these instruments anl, in every calender year, a certified cy of its balance sheet.

3. For the purposes of the Companies ordinance, foreign company means a com, any which has alre dy been incorporated outside the Colony.
