When I saw Tran on 26 November he gave me copies of a number of Community documents, which I enclose. Our possession of these documents should on no account be revealed. For the most part, the documents cover ground already dealt with in our telegrams but, they go into much greater detail.

The documents in question are:

(1) The interim report of the Community working group on Hong Kong together with its annex setting out the state of play reached in the working group's discussion.

(ii) The paper circulated by the

Commission on which the group based its discussion.

(iii) The different lists of sensitive and semi-sensitive products.
