The following is an extract from a report from our Labour Attaché in Brussels about the recent Executive Board Meeting of the ICFTU:-

There was a discussion on the proposed Industrial Relations legislation, and the British TUC representa- tives were able to report on their attempts to influence the British Government on certain aspects of the proposals. Buiter also gave an up-to-date report on the situation as he knew it from information which had been given to him formally in explanation of the proposals. The Executive Board took note of the concern which had been expressed at the resent Asian Regional Organisation Conference, and noted with satisfaction that certain clauses were to be dropped in the proposed legislation. The Executive Board expressed their support of the Asian Regional Organisation's actions.
