When a worker is permanently incapacitated but only partially so,

for example, by the loss of a limb or an eye, compensation is calculated

"according to the loss of earning capacity caused by the accident," the

spokesman says.

He emphasises that the Commissioner of Labour should normally

be notified of an accident within seven days of its occurrence. Report

FUND-RAISING OPERA

At Tai Hang ng Community Centre

The Tai Hang Tung Community Centre of the Social Welfare Department

will present Cantonese opera on January 10 to raise funds for its annual

dinner in honour

community elders.
