Mr. Hothorington said the significant features of each quarter

woro as follows. In the first quartor, garments, plastics, woollen knitting,

and wigs absorbed the greatest number of additional workers.

In the second, the industries requiring most additional employees

woro wigs, plastics, garments, woollen knitting, and electronics.

In the third, wigs expandod most followed by electronics, garmonts,

and motal products, and in the fourth quarter, motal products, wigs, wool

spinning, and rubber footwear were the loading industries roquiring most

of the additional labour.
