COLONIAL SECRETARY RETURNS TOMORROW
To Be Met By Mr. Holmes

The Colonial Secretary, Sir Hugh Norman-Walker, returns to Hong
Kong by air tomorrow after leave in the United Kingdom.
He will be met at the airport by the acting Colonial Secretary,
Mr. D.R. Holmes.

As previously announced, the Governor, Sir David Trench, will be
going to Britain for consultations and a short leave on October 17.
will be returning with Lady Trench and Miss Trench on December 12 to Hong
Kong where Miss Trench will spend her Christmas holidays.
During Sir David's absence, Sir Hugh will be acting Governor and
Mr. Holmes will be Acting Colonial Secretary.
Mr. Holmes will be leaving Hong Kong on Saturday, September 26,
for three weeks' leave in Europe. He will return on October 17.

Sir Hugh Norman-Walker is returning to Hong Kong by B.0.A.C. Flight B/928, arriving at Kai Tak at about 5.25 p.m. Press photographers and television cameramen wishing to go out to the tarmac to cover Sir Hugh's return should meet the Press Officer, Mr. Osman bin Talip, at the Airport Press Room, Terminal Building, NOT LATER THAN 5 p.m. tomorrow.
Mr. Holmes will leave on Saturday by Qantas Flight QF/761 and return on October 17 by Qantas Flight QF/758.
