Mr. Peter Blaker (Blackpool, South): To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, if he will make a statement on the recent official visit by the Parliamentary Under-Secretary to Hong Kong.

The Parliamentary Under-Secretary had wide-ranging

discussions with the Governor and the Official and Unofficial

Members of the Executive and Legislative Councils. In

addition, he met and exchanged views with members of the

Urban Council, with businessmen and industrialists and with

a large number of other persons from different sections of

the community.
