NEW PREMISES FOR UMELCO OFFICE

At Windsor House From Monday

The office of the unofficial members of the executive and legislative

councils (UMELCO) will move over the weekend to new and larger premises on

the third floor of Windsor House, and it will be "business as usual" thero

from Monday morning.

The new premises take up an area of 3,500 square feet partitioned

so as to provide additional offices for the staff and private rooms for

membors of the public seoking interviews with members of either council, or

with the administrative secretary. The surroundings are designed to be

congenial for people with complaints or problems they wish to air.

On roster duty for one week from Monday, August 24, will be the

Hon. S.S. Gordon and the Hon. Q.W. Lee. Staff at the office will be happy

to arrange meetings with these two members suiting the convenience of both

parties. Besides Mr. Gordon and Mr. Lee, arrangements can be made for

meetings with other councillors.

Anyone having difficulty in his dealing with a government department,

or who wishes to make a complaint or suggestion about a matter of public

concern is free to call at the UMELCO office. If he prefers, he can contact

the office by telephone or in writing.

In addition to the previous tolephone No. H-227244, two other

numbers will be availablo in the new promises H-243068 and H-243069.
