Important cases are referred to
UMELCO meetings which are attended
by all Members. All meaty or
important papers are reproduced
in full so that all Members of
UMELCO have the actual informat-
ion. Some 12 to 15 cases (all
the important ones) are discussed
at each of the UMELCO fortnightly
meetings.
What types of cases have been
dealt with?
There is a split up in the papers
supplied to you. About 20 per cent
of cases deal with Resettlement
alone. (At this point there was
an interruption and it was not
possible to complete a descript-
ion of the other types of cases
dealt with. The remaining figures
are: Legal 14% Police 8%
Immigration 7% Housing 7% Hawkers
7% Transport 6% other matters
39%).
How about the 25% outside UMELCO
jurisdiction.
They mainly deal with legal matters.
