P., provisionally and subject to Her Majesty's pleasure, to be temporarily an Unofficial Member of the Executive Council with effect from 30th May 1970 during the absence from the Colony of Col. J.D. CLAGUE, C. B. E., M. C., Q. P.M., T.D., J.P.

Mr Browne's previous appointment referred to in my Despatch No 725 dated 20th June 1969 expired on 13th September 1969 upon his departure from the Colony on leave.
