The new Government of protection of any kind for Cambodia.
Ion Nol has not so far done anything to alter this.
Hong Kong
10. Any further reinforcement of the Carrison (including air
cover) will be provided as necessary from the U.E.
Only to be used if remarks will not be repated
11. The role of the Carrison in Hong Kong is to maintain internal security and provide a screen along the frontier with China. Hong Kong is obviously indefensible aguinst full-scale attack e.g. from China (which we have no reason to expect).
