Addition of

No. 38 of 1958. SUPREME COURT (AMENDMENT) (3.

The principal Ordinance is amended by the a

new section after section 12, of the following new section-

12A.

"Preced-

ence.

12A. The judges shall take precedence i following order—

(a) the Chief Justice;

(b) the Senior Puisne Judge;

(c) the Puisne Judges, who among them shall rank according to the priority of respective appointments :

Provided that where the Secretars State is of opinion that there are suf reasons for so doing, he may determine › precedence of the Puisne Judges irrespect of the priority of their appointments;

(d) persons appointed, under subsection (2)

section 13, to act as Puisne Judges, among themselves shall rank according to p priority of their respective appointments:

Provided that where the Governor is opinion that there are sufficient reasons i so doing, he may determine the precedence. acting Puisne Judges irrespective of t priority of their appointments;

(e) persons appointed, under subsection (3).
