It has also to be observed that the statistical data
given do not comprise all items for which an Hong Kong export licence is required when imported to Norway. For instance, son of the restrained cotton products
are falling under an item in the costums tariff classification with the description "containing synthetic materials". If a product contains mainly cotton, (more than 50 per cent) the importer has to produce an Hong Kong export licence. As the main part of the imports under such items are considered to be
non-cotton products, these items are not included in
the statistics.
