Dear Sire,
With reference to earlier correspondence and to my telephone conversation of yesterday, 9th September, with Mr. Ho, I have the honour to inform the Department that I have received a cable from Norway to the effect that the Horwegian Government intends to ask for the following amendments to the existing textile arrangements:
to be transferred from "authorization" to "globa". Norwegian production showed only a slight increase. from Hong Kong rose by 24% in the poriod 1966-68.

During the same period, 1966-68, imports of relate synthetic items (IK EX 841.713) rose by 500% and Hong Kong' share of the market rose to 24% in the first half of 1969 compared to 14% in the first half of 1968.//

to be transferred from "export licence" to "quota". In the period 1966-63 Norwegian production was down 25%. Imports from Hong Kong rose by 30%, and Hong Kong's share of the market amounted to 52% in the first half of 1969.

to import.
