The other delegatione pointed out that in their opinion it was practically out of the question that the principle af o general clause to be added to the formulaf of quantitative restriction would be accupted

by the developing countries: They considered moreover that a general safeguard clause was not necessary, since the various oxisting provisions for trede defence would continue to apply (of. dumping, cubsidies, disorganisation of the ariet).
