MATTERS ARISING
(a) Electrical and Telecommunications Equipment (Min. 8/69)
Mr. Payne said that he had spoken to Commander Robertson about the possibility of S.I.M.A. arranging a visit to Hong Kong following British Week Tokyo, and had been told that S.I.M.A. were already committed to a presence in Warsaw at that time, with a further venture in Israel later in the year.
Their programme was also full with three major, and two minor promotions "on the bill", so that 1971 would be the earliest likely date for an effort in Hong Kong.
(b) BEALA Mission (Min. 13/69)
Replying to a question by lir. Love, lir. Payne said that it was now unlikely that BEAMA would be sponsoring a mission to Hong Kong before January or February 1970.
