policy of equal pay to the serving women officers doing identical work with their male counterparts has prolonged the breach of fundamental rights in humanitrianism and in equity as declared by the United Nations and in Your Majesty's opening speech to the Parliament in
1969.

That the public opinion in Hong Kong is expressly and definitely in favour of equal pay for identical work whether performed by man or by a woman. The action of Idong Kong Government has so far been to retard the realization of this public opinion. Your Petitioner has genuine fear that unless the intervention by Your Majesty or by your Majesty's Government in London is forthcoming, this unfair and unsatisfactory state of affair may continue in Idong Kong for another twenty years.

That your Petitioner therefore humbly prays that Your Majesty will direct the Government of Idong Kong to grant immediately equal pay and conditions
of service to all serving women officers in the civil service of Government of Idong Kong.
And Your Petitioner will ever humbly pray etc.
