Fairchild Semiconductor (Hong Kong) Limited

(hereinafter called "the Company") was incorporated as

a private limited company in Hong Kong on the 8th day

of October 1962 under the name Semiconductor Limited.

The Company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of

Fairchild Camera & Instrument Corporation, a major manu-

facturer of electronic components and other industrial

products, with its headquarters at 464, Ellis Street,

Division of Fairchild Camera & Instrument Corporation

is one of the three largest manufacturers of Semiconductor components (i.e. transistors, diodes and integrated cir-

cuits) in the world.

The Company was a pioneer in the manufacture

of semiconductor devices in Hong Kong and opened its

initial plant in rented premises in December 1962 only

three months after the arrival of its employees who came

to Hong Kong to establish the Company's manufacturing

plant.

On the 13th day of January 1964, the Company

purchased the premises known as Kwun Tong Inland Lot No. 540 at public auction at a price of HK$ 1,810,000.00
