Conditions of Work :-

Normally a 40 hour week based on five

working days of eight hours each;

A paid 10 minute break must be allowed

either in the first or the second four

hours;

Full canteen amenities must be provided

on the premises for shift workers;

where a 24 hour day is made up of three

8-hour shifts, a half-hour paid meal break

is paid in addition to the ten minute tea

break mentioned earlier. In other words

an employee who makes himself or herself

available for eight hours on any one day

shall be paid for eight hours on that day.

No person shall work in excess of 48 hours in

a seven day week, 88 hours in a fortnight or 160 hours

in 28 consecutive days.

Where work is performed on a Sunday or public

holiday the period in excess of four hours on that day

shall be paid at the rate of time-and-a-half on ordinary

time plus the appropriate shift allowance.

Annual Leave

Where a person works normally 40 hours Monday
