Mr. MacFarlane,
Nationality and Treaty Department
In a letter sent shortly before his departure from Hong Kong, Mr. Moreton asked me to look into a list of outstanding Hong Kong

Included in the list is the subject of

Mr. Carter (Hong Kong Dept.)
This file No. GNL 2/393/1 which is in action, refers to a request from Hong Kong for .bilateral Conventions between the United Kingdom
and foreign countries in respect of the
reciprocal enforcement of judgments to be extended to Hong Kong. They are particularly interested in extension of the Anglo-German R.E.J. Convention.

An interim reply was sent to the
Governor on 3 June and is now being followed up by a saving despatch asking for information about the superior courts in Hong Kong which is required before we can progress further.
