Mr. Thomson may also need to consult officials by telephone on points raised in the Debate. It would therefore be helpful if Heads of Departments (other than the administrative departments) would let the Farliamentary Office know on the morning of the day of the Debate where they or appropriate members of their Department can be contacted-during the evening. In some cases, Under-Secretaries may feel that they should make themselves available in this way and I am therefore copying this circular to them.

5. Mr. Thomson would be grateful if European Integration Department and West African Department could have representatives in the Box throughout the Debate. The Farliamentary Office will need to know the names of those who will be taking on this duty.
