You will be glad to know that we were able to make good use of the material you supplied on Sir C.Y. Kwan in your letter of 20th February. We prepared and submitted to the Palace a short note for The Queen.

At a cocktail party given by C.Y. at the Cavendish Hotel after the investiture I was able to have a chat with him and learnt that The Queen did indeed speak to him; the conversation centred apparently on his membership of Executive Council. He seemed supremely happy about the way the day's events had gone and was in very good spirits.
