The period 27th February to 2nd March is somewhat

inconvenient in that:-

(a)

Chief of Defence Staff will be visiting at that time and I had offered to put him up. I cannot accommodate both parties, and would have to put C.D.S. off;

(b) Legislative Council Annual Budget Debate opens

1st March; and

(c) Kennedy Spastic Children's Centre opening is

scheduled for 2nd March and a number of prominent Americans, including, just possibly, Mrs. Jacqueline Kennedy, although I think her appearance unlikely, will be hear. If she should come, however, it would be awkward not to be able to offer to accommodate her.

From my point of view, therefore, visit here after visit to Singapore and Malaya would be considerably more convenient.
