Both petitions concern the Public Order
Ordinance 1967 which received the Governor's

The contents of beth petitions have been
carefully considered but do not, in the V Secretary of State, warrant his recommending that the Ordinance be disallowed.
His advice to Her Majesty therefore is that
the reply to both petitions should be that
they have been laid before Her Majesty but

advise Her Majesty that the petitions should
be granted.
