Since the Royal Air Force have now forwarded their report to the Ministry of Defence, there is little we can do here to make further effective progress. Would it be possible for you to find out the present position at the Ministry of Defence ? There may well be certain aspects of the R. A. F. assessment on which we could usefully comment even at this stage.
I regret that I was unable to discuss this with Heath Mason when he was here.
