It would be essential for the aircraft to be operated from RAF territory and for the Commanding Officer and the other RF members of the Hunter unit to be accommodated in and work from the RAF Operations room. HAEC second-line servicing would be carried out within their own premisos. First-line servicing would best be undertaken at the Hunter pans.
COSTS
45. As requested by MOD (Air), only local costs have been compiled. These local costs and the detailed requirements sot out in this paper, should enable the Central Costing Branch at MOD (Air) to fully cost the proposed Unit.
46. HAEC Costs. During the initial discussions with HAEC it was stressed that the RAF could not expect the Company to provide precise and detailed costs
Accordingly, at the time and that the immediate aim was to obtain an order of cost. such orders of cost that are given in this paper are without commitment and in no sense binding on the Company.
