If, owing to its obligations arising from tho Treaty Sutablishing the European Economic Community of 25 March, 1957, and in particular on account of Who Council's decision on miniawa prices of ↳ April, 1962 and Ordinanco No. 23 concerning tho gradual establishment of a common markot organisation for fruit and vegetables of 4 April, 1962, the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany should be obliged to take measures to restrict importo of fruit and vogetablco from third countrico, thoso monsures will, to the oxtont requirod, apply alco to imports from tho United Kingdom and its Dopondent Overccas Territorics.

Betterment Clause:
The Government of the Federal Ropublic of Cermony is prepared, at the request of tho Government of the United Kingdom, to give favourable consideration to providing additional import opportunities, if the quotas for
(a) canned and bottled fruit and fruit
juice, and
(b)
cannod and bottled marmalados, other jans and tablo jollios
ohould not be cufficient to meet the import requiromonts of the Federal Republic of Germany.
